Coming Soon : Project & Cappuccino Wagon

Loveworks Logo

We are already half-way to having the funding to acquire our very own Projects and Cappuccino Van.

The van will have a two-fold purpose:

1) Projects: The van will enable vital projects to be both mobile and on-going for the first time. We will be able respond to local need at grass roots level, more speedily than ever before and take needed services directly into disadvantaged areas within our community.

2) Coffee-Consciousness: We already raise awareness of the Loveworks.org message via coffee on Reigate station and Happy Mondays. A mobile unit with a built-in cappuccino machine in the rear will allow us to take hot drinks out to football fields and local fetes - anywhere where a hot coffee would be welcomed and our message heard.

See below some of the potential uses the van could have. Some are projects already up and running whilst others have received endorsement from partner organisations to begin as soon as possible.

For Isolated Elderly who are..  Afraid to go out shopping

    Real quotes
from real people
Our van could go out in icy weather with hot food, essential provisions and serve the elderly who have become afraid of going out due to adverse weather or infirmity.

"Since I slipped and fell on the ice I've been afraid to go out" , Local elderly lady

For Homeless who are...  Cold, hungry, isolated

The van would be a source of comfort to the local homeless and give out coffees, blankets, Loveworks "Care Kits" whenever and wherever needed.   "Surely the most worthless I have ever felt as a human being" on being homeless

For Children who are... At school without breakfast

A mobile breakfast distribution scheme for children in deprived areas. We love the idea of helping reduce food wastage and would ideally be looking to link with a local supermarket to acquire food past display date but before use by date and use that as one element of the School Days Breakfast Scheme.

"Half a million UK kids eat biscuits
for breakfast, and  160,000 have just a bag of crisps"

For Families in Need...to send the message "You are not on your own"

Toy Library Scheme, Literacy Assistance and pointer to other services.  New and nearly new toys donated by Loveworks.org supporters - all these things and more could be delivered directly into deprived areas using our mobile units and delivered to families in need as nominated by agencies.

Enhancements to our "Moving on" Project

It is not uncommon for vulnerable adults to find themselves moving out of sheltered accommodation with no family support and nothing more than a bin liner to carry their belongings. Our "Moving On" Project puts needed dignity, support and excitement into what can otherwise be a time of stress and anxiety. We provide transport and support on moving day as well as bespoke starter kits of any essentials the mover may be missing. This project is already up and running and has been very well-received by our partner agencies.

Loveworks.org's  Mobile Cappuccino Machine

The integrated cappuccino machine would mean we can upgrade and add to our current awareness raising programme of coffee services, Happy Mondays and Commuter Coffees on Reigate Station. With our own van we would be able to appear at schools, fetes, local football fields - anywhere where a warm cup of coffee would be most welcome. Great quality cappuccinos on cold mornings for freezing parents of footballing sons - could there be anything more marvellous?
