Outbound Day

It may have been a grey, rainy looking day but that did not dent the sunny mood of the day one little bit.

There was plenty of laughter and bonding and fun being had by the families who came along.

Thank you! Your kindness has put smiles onto the faces of people just when they need it most.

The Summer Jazz Party we held in June raised enough money to fund this very special project for mothers and children affected by abuse at home. As you read this it is probable that the families who came with us on this day out live only a short car drive away from you, but the crisis in their lives are in is a million miles away emotionally.  Our meeting with the staff of ESDAS highlighted the need for time away from the distress they face;  a physical as well as a mental break.

So Loveworks.org volunteers took these local mums on a fantastic outbound day where they spent quality time with their kids in a positive, fun environment.  The experienced team at the outbound centre encouraged the families to try out new challenges and overcome their fears.
