Loveworks runs three food banks each week and we need more local volunteers who are willing to give something back to their community through giving their time to help with both front of house and logistics roles.
The front of house role would be a commitment of 2 hours every three weeks, perhaps more if you want to help with cover when other teams are short.
The logistics roles are varied. We work with many corporate and community partners; including schools and churches, local supermarkets and storage facilities. We often host fundraising events and collections. Food donated by our supporters needs to be transported! The logistics team are also responsible for stock management, watching out for expiry dates so no food gets wasted.
More information about our food banks can accessed at Loveworks Food Banks, but generally we operate three times a week. Mondays in Reigate and Wednesday and Saturday in Merstham.
We are looking for a volunteer communications officer who can help us out at our Reigate office a day a week from January 2018. Experience of the charity sector would be an advantage but not necessary. We would like someone to help us as we move towards our 10th anniversary as Reigate’s local social needs charity. We need help with marketing / pr strategy, website, brand, content including story telling, social media and more.
Our Way2Go project has been designed to help those in our local community who want to increase their confidence and belief in themselves. Led by professional coaches it is a personal development programme including one-to-one mentoring and interactive group workshops. The course is tailored for individual needs to enable everyone to become the very best version of themselves.
We would love to hear from individuals, organisations and trainers who would like to be part of this exciting opportunity in helping others in the local community find a brighter future and ignite their confidence. Just contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 07912 628013.
This vibrant and busy older people’s delivery helps those people in our community who are lonely or isolated to get out and meet friends. The event takes place once a month at the Arkle Manor pub on the Dorking Road and is a great opportunity to meet with our older people, chat and make friends, while making a real difference.
Are you willing to offer some of your time to listen and to become involved so that older people in our community are not isolated and have a social event to look forward to on a regular basis? If so, just contact us by email at email@example.com or call us on 07912 628013.
