Christmas Appeal 2020

Christmas 2020 is going to be tougher for everyone this year and particularly difficult for many local individuals and families. Loveworks has been helping an increasing number of people throughout the year and we are now focussing on helping them have as close as possible to a ‘normal’ Christmas

We will be providing extra Christmas parcels for food bank users and for other individuals and families referred to us by partner agencies as being in need of a bit of extra help this Christmas.

How Can you help?

Donate to support our work this Christmas

We urgently need financial donations to enable us to purchase:

  • Co-op or Sainsburys vouchers included in the Christmas parcels so that families can choose their own fresh meat, fruit and vegetables
  • food and hygiene items where there is a shortfall in donations

Please note we need all Christmas themed items by 18th Dec.

What do our food banks need this Christmas?

Our food banks run very low on the basics over the winter and it is important we keep providing these in addition to Christmas treats. We rely totally on donations so please support us this year.

We still urgently need:

  • Strong Supermarket  bags or ‘Bags for Life’
  • Tins of meat casserole (ideally 2/3 tins same thing for large families)
  • TInned corn beef, ham etc
  • Pasta sauce
  • Tinned Potatoes
  • Tinned carrots & peas
  • Tinned Fruit
  • Tinned Custard
  •

Where can I drop donations?

  • Tues & Thurs: 10-12pm – Loveworks, Unit 4, Redhill 23 Business Park, Redhill RH1 2GD
  • Tues – Fri: 10am-12 Merstham Hub, Portland Drive, Merstham RH1 3HY
  • Tues – Sat 10am-5pm Colebrook Lodge, 32-42 Prices Lane, Reigate RH2 8AX

Or email foodbank@loveworks.org.uk

We expect to have a very busy Christmas, record numbers of people are using our Merstham and Reigate food banks and more than 200 extra Christmas Food parcels being handed out. All donations are very appreciated and will go straight towards helping make a ‘normal’ Christmas for people in need in our local community.

Thank you.
