“We started a 'Drive Thru' food donation campaign during lockdown, to support Loveworks and help those facing hardship. Since then, we have remained committed to holding regular food collections, and the Carrington community continues to embrace every opportunity to support those in need.

Our students play a central role in organising these collections — taking responsibility, showing compassion, and learning the value of community service. It’s a powerful way to make a difference, and we’re proud of the impact they’re making.”

“The children at Reigate St Mary’s have been showing great compassion and community spirit by collecting items for the Loveworks Food Bank. Their generosity will help support local families in need.

“Our Third Form students are actively involved in supporting Loveworks . They help to raise awareness and to collect food and cash donations, both in Reigate town centre and at school. They are making a real contribution in supporting people in the local community who face food poverty and hunger. 

By visiting the Loveworks warehouse to sort food items and pack bespoke food parcels, students gain a deeper understanding of how food banks operate and why they are essential in our local community.”

“Merstham Park students love getting involved with food collections for Loveworks, demonstrating their generosity and community spirit.

Filling crates across the school with donations of tins and dried goods, our students can see how their efforts make a real difference.

Our collections not only support those in need, but also help students live out our school values of inclusion, empathy, and community. It is inspiring to see our young people taking action and understanding the positive impact they can have on others.”
